Anna Ashby will be offering a unique series of workshops each limited to 18 students. In this smaller group format, a learning environment with detailed instruction will refine and hone the practice allowing for precision and subtlety of experience. Attention to alignment and detail will encourage a more conscious and considered approach the lends itself to going deeper.

Within the all categories of poses there is one pose, Tāḍāsana  - the Mountain Pose, that presents the blueprint for all poses. This workshop reveals its simplicity, subtlety, stability and presence, and explores how Tāḍāsana provides a framework for learning how to approach and master the diversity of poses presented within the different hatha yoga schools. While the main teaching of Tantra, the philosophical body that hatha yoga springs from, explains that there is one vital energy that flows through the many and diverse forms of this reality, it is no surprise that this same principle exists within the varied asana of the hatha yoga tradition. Come and discover ‘the one in the many’ both in form and beyond form.

Category of poses: some standings and inversions with some restorative + meditation

The workshop is ideal for teachers, teachers in training and experienced students who wish to reflect on the architecture of poses and sequencing furthering their understanding of modern postural yoga. The format allows for dialogue and questions.

Students are expected to have a mature practice of 3+ years. If you have questions about suitability of level please contact
